New season, new teams, new players, welcome back to another season of Muslim Basketball! Last season we saw amazing talent week by week as the top players in the division played their hearts out trying to lead their teams to glory. These players went the extra mile for their team and without them on the court their teams would fall in shambles. The effect they have on the court can be seen through both what does and does not show up on the stat sheets; it's the little things they do that help fuel the fire of their teams. Through their leadership and great play, week in and week out, they hope to do everything in their power to elevate their teams to the next level. These aren't any ordinary players, these are MVP caliber type of players. Welcome to this week's edition of the KP MVP Ladder.

1. Omar Abbassi, Islamabad

One bad game won’t define your season, Big O struggled in his matchup against the other best center in the league but was able to bounce back with an impressive performance against Beirut finishing with another double double 10 points, 14 boards, and 2 assists. Islamabad had a little hiccup in one of their biggest matchups of the season but with Omar’s guidance this team should be just fine and will look to make some noise against Sana’a next week.

Last Week’s Ranking: 1

2. Daniel Goldberg, Mombasa

The second year man is an absolute nightmare to match up against. The defensive and offensive presence of Daniel has been felt last season and more so this season with Mombasa standing alone as the only remaining undefeated team in the league. He’s averaging a double double so far this season with 10.3 points and 15.7 boards but man does it feel like he’s doing a lot more than just that. Mombasa has a solid squad with former MVP Raza helping run the show; I think the sky’s the limit for this team and if Daniel can keep it up Mombasa will be looking at yet another finals appearance.

3. Mujtaba John S, Jakarta

It seems like his name’s rarely on the ladder for some reason but look out because Mujtaba’s got his eyes on the prize this season. Jakarta looks like a revamped team with the additions of lil bro and Mo Masri and Mujtaba’s just having fun out there. He’s averaging 16.3 points, 7 boards, and 3 assists and is making his presence felt around the league. This could be the sleeper team to make it all the way but we still have plenty of ball left to be played.

4. Abdul Mutaleb Popal, Sana’a

Again one game doesn’t define who you are as a player and Abdul sure as hell is one of the best. Yes he takes a lot of shots and yes he has the ball in his hands but his team was doing just fine before their two game skid. The argument of taking too many shots becomes invalid when you’re shooting near 50% on the season. Shoutout to Tehran for an amazing defensive effort in limiting him the way they did and coming up with the W. Love and respect all around guys, we play for the love of the game! Applause

Last Week’s Ranking: 2

5. Moayad Abulhuda, Amman

Moayad finished last season on a tear and picked up where he left off simply balling out this season. He’s shooting over 50% from the field, averaging 17 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.3 assists thus far this season. Amman’s sitting close to the top of the league with their 3-1 record and Moayad has a lot to do with that. This is another team that has the potential to make it really far if they keep clicking as a team because the pieces are there its just up to the execution at this point.

Honored to be #2 on here. But I think saying Big O "struggled" against me is not 100% true. He was one of the strongest defenders I have played against and battled under the boards like a monster. Well deserved #1 spot for him.
