Week 8 1-7 7

Akka had one job, win this game and not get matched up against Yazur in the playoffs. They failed, and now are most likely going fishing next Sunday.

Week 7 1-6 7

Akka really can't catch a break as they suffer yet another heart breaking loss. Omar Khan lead the way with 25 points and 7 boards.

With Usman and Hekmatullah back next week, they are looking to go into the playoffs with a win against Al-Balah and hopefully not let one guy take 30 shots(!!).

Week 6 1-5 7

Akka finally gets on the board with their first win of the season. Omar Khan had a flamethrower attached to his arm in the first half, and ended the game with 27 points on 7 threes. As long as they win their next 2 games, there’s a good chance that this team pulls off a few upsets in the playoffs.

Week 5 0-5 8

Mannnnn Akka really took us on a roller coaster ride in their game against the undefeated Yazur. Coming out scorching hot in the first half, their first win was finally within sight. They came out and went blow for blow in the beginning of the second half, but unfortunately, as all good things have to come to an end, so did their lead. The drop to the bottom was a fast one, as their 8-point lead quickly turned into a 20-point deficit. Omar Khan led the way with 21 points and Usman Khan had his best game of the season with 17 and 9.

They desperately need to figure out their turnover woes, because 20 turnovers just won't cut it. If 2 players are combining for 14 turnovers, they need to learn to trust the rest of the team to take the pressure off them. Coach Ibraheem needs to step up (wait sorry, you can sit) and lead them to their first win.

Week 4 0-4 8

Was there a score keeping malfunction or did they really lose to a 4 man team by 22? I’ll leave it at that…

Week 3 0-3 8

A bitter defeat here by Akka officially giving them the worst record in the league. Still looking for their first win, this team has a ton of potential that has yet to be realized. On a bittersweet note, there were some breakout performances from this team such as Omar Khan (24 Pts, 4 Reb, 1 Ast, 1 Stl) and Ibraheem Sharaf (10 Pts, 6 Reb, 4 Ast) who unfortunately went down with a season-ending ACL injury. Let's see who will step up to fill the void that he will leave for Akka next week.

Week 2 0-2 7

Another disheartening loss for akka to put them at 0-2 but their record does not tell the full story of this team. With the third week coming up, Akka will be looking to make a statement against rafah
