Week 10 4-6 9

For how good this team is, they really disappoint me being down here. Mahdy having his usual 20+ game, affan having a quiet 13 and 12, and glendi going almost perfect with 14 points. This game would’ve definitely been different had Yahya been here. This squad has the depth to win and give any team a run for their money. But we need more out of Affan he needs to be ready to be that second option when it comes to scoring. However, one thing that caught my eye is mahdy having only 5 rebounds, this shouldn’t happen he needs to find his way into the paint a little more. Overall with Yahya this team have a solid unselfish 3 that can seal the deal.

Week 9 4-5 8

We’re all bummed that we didn’t get to see the Musa/Mahdy match up but ROTY did his part by showing up and scoring 22 for the team to get them this win. Props to them for keeping Shafic at just 12 points. We do want to see more from Affan for this team to be a serious threat offensively and expect at least 15 points from him to compliment Mahdy. I like that Ismail “Glendy” Mema and Ahmad Abid consistently bring in double digit scoring while the latter is an animal on the rebounds grabbing 16 boards

Week 8 3-5 9

The Rugrats were without Chucky Finster I mean Affan, leaving Tommy Pickles, I mean Mahdy to do all the heavy lifting. Timbuktu did a great job limiting him to only 10 shot attempts and forcing the rest of the squad to beat them. Kashgar has two very formidable foes left on the schedule.

Week 7 3-4 6

100% from the free throw line!!! That is what wins basketball games man! It really is a toss-up for who can win ROTY at this point. Mahdy with 24 points 10 boards 5 assists 3 steals and 2 blocks! This team had a night overall, as they had contributions from everyone! Affan with 10, Ismael with 11 and Layth with 14. Overall great performance from the rugrats and they just continue to win games post trade deadline.

Week 6 2-4 8

After winners of two in a row, the Rugrats came back down to earth, but did so fighting. MB darling Mahdy led his squad with 22 points on 7-15 shooting while Yahya served as the team’s second option last night with a season high 13 points. Jeddah found a way to contain scorching hot Affan and limited his touches throughout the game. Despite the L, this team showed a lot of promise, and we’ve seen flashes of their dominance over the past few weeks post trade deadline. I just believe they ran into a top contender at a bad time. Nonetheless, not concerned about Tommy Pickles, I mean Mahdy and h

Week 5 2-3 7

Two trades, two wins a row, and suddenly this squad is an offensive force. Mahdi is no longer the defacto #1 and Affan has shown he can shoot the heck out of the basketball in consecutive weeks. Very efficient game out of Ismael G, as he went 7-13 for 19 points. Ryan and Yahya played hard nose defense and quietly, Hasnan is making a late push for GM of the year.

Week 4 1-3 10

Talk about a young star in the making! Recently acquired Affan had a career high 27 points while shooting 7-9 from 3, to help secure Kashgar’s first win of the season. Front runner for ROY, Mahdy went from 3-11 from the field but still managed to score 19 points on great efficiency from the FT line. GM Hasnan decided to go with the younger route with his trades and it seems that the early returns are paying off. Would like to see more out of Yahya, Ryan and Glendi as the season progresses and teams focus more on Affan and Mahdy.

Week 3 0-3 11

The defensive issues continue for the struggling Kashgar, and it helps even less when some of their top guys shoot inefficiently. There’s been a game where Ismael did his thing, one where Mahdy did his thing, and now one where Mo Masri does his thing; they’ve just been unable to bring it all together. Even beyond them three, they certainly have very capable players. GM Hasnan is going to have to do some soul-searching for his team and have them find their roles and identities, and if and when that happens, they’ll compete.

Week 2 0-2 10

Well for starters they have a certified BUCKET on their roster and who can outscore some teams by the looks of it. Mahdy Suleiman had his KODAK moment last night and it was a masterpiece. 42 points on 52% from the field with 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals! It’s a shame that just a performance did not result in a win but don’t expect the rook to slow down anytime soon.

Week 1 0-1 9

The positives are, they kept it close with only 5 players and were playing without Farzad. The negatives, no ball movement whatsoever, 2 assists as a group and look very ball dominant. Rookies Ismael and Mahdy can be a lethal 1-2 punch, but they need to figure somethings out before they get there.

Preseason 0-0 8

So, I wanted to rank this team higher, but I couldn’t because of the unknowns. Farzad is back in MB, and we can’t forget that he is a 3-time champ and certified bucket. The showcase hypetrain could be heard from across the world, for rookie Mahdy Suleiman, and rightfully so. They added rookie Glendi Ismael, who looks like a solid combo guard as well as the best shooter in the league Mo Masri.
