Mecca was unable to secure the 1st round-bye, but I think it could be a blessing in disguise for these guys. Mecca relies heavily on momentum and good energy to get their games rolling in the right direction. A playoff WK #1 win could set that in motion, and if they make the championship.... I would hate to be the ones facing them.

I can finally say, that Mecca is right where they belong, near the top of the standings, and the power rankings. It almost seemed to be slipping away in the first half, the team looked dejected and frustrated. But some great leadership emerged and they were on a mission that second half. Switched to a zone, held their opponents to 3 points all half, and started finding the space on the court, and hitting good shots. Next week is their biggest game yet against Al-Andalus, a win there will secure them a Playoff WK #1 bye. 

Mecca gets bailed in some ways with a free win this week. Although, the way they've been rolling as of late, I'm sure they wanted to prove themselves on the court. Now involved in a FOUR-way tie for the first seed. The last 2 weeks are gonna get reaaaallly interesting. 

Mecca. Boy do I love seeing these guys hoop Masha’Allah. You always get the feeling that there’s enough talent and it’s just about putting it all together. Very efficient day from the Ahmad brothers. And the addition of David F has been a valuable one. Keep rolling this way and Mecca may see a top seed in their future. 

Mecca actually looked very good this week. Great overall efficiency at 39% FGP, 33% 3PP, and 83% from the FT line. 4 players with 14 or more points. Exactly how this team needs to play in order to win this season. If they can keep this momentum rolling, these guys will be scary to face late in the season. It's a big "if" because they've shown inconsistency in the past. But with only 5 players this week, they got it done in a great way.

Tough matchup for these guys however they looked much better in the first half than the second. Some unfortunate missed shots and layups down the stretch, look for this team to pick up steam as they get into the groove. They also faced a strong team this week.
