LAST WK: 1

Nothing new here folks. The lone remaining undefeated finishes the season at the top of the list and rightfully so. Young King Hassan Chaabane can add MVP to his name in only his 3rd season. 22.4 ppg, 5 rebounds and 5 assists along with almost 3 steals are MVP worthy numbers but he was not alone. Zain averaged a double-double with close to 13 and 10, Idris averaged 10ppg and Kareem added 12ppg as a very good third option on this team. This team was very well assembled and could easily be holding the trophy at the end of the season.

LAST WK: 2

Another year and another strong finish by Weiss and company. Their only L came with a half-depleted roster and that was still a five-point game. Mombasa might be the biggest threat to Islamabad’s chances, as they are far and away the most balanced team in the league. Mo Masri had a career season at the youthful age of 35, Raza returned to form, Elias continues to improve on the offensive end and oh that Pete Brown guy, he’s just getting warmed up. I mentioned this before, and I would like to emphasize how easy Sadat’s job is as a point guard on this unit. He can look at any direction h

Alexandria

LAST WK: 3

As if their clapping wasn’t bad enough, Alexandria felt the need to yell at the top of their lungs after every play like it was a High School Musical recital. The role of Troy Bolton would easily go to the 3rd Yanes brother as they both “act” like they can ball. Nonetheless, Alexandria is the most athletic team in the league and have demonstrated it time and time again. Wajdi is the consensus ROTY, Jay Wiggins imposes his will and dominance every game and Musa is a 30-piece waiting to happen, any given night. I do think they have an easier rode to the chip than the top two s

Jerusalem

LAST WK: 4

Winners via forfeit but the Abbassi family don’t need to introduction or season recap. But for the sake of pleasing Lil O, I shall provide them with one. Lil O is the better scoring Abbassi, Biggz is still one of the premier guards in this league on both ends of the floor and Mana is a walking skyscraper that will get you 20 rebounds in his sleep. Add in the shooting of the Saleh brothers and Islam’s old man game, why can’t Jerusalem take home the prize?

Tripoli

LAST WK: 5

No Sal, No Jean, No Yo Shah, Raied left 3 minutes into the game, and they still won! Ali Hassan scored a game high 28 and although it was not efficient it was certainly needed. Nesto had a monster double double with 23 and 15 and played the role of Robin to Ali’s Batman. This team has five legit double-digit scorers and will be breaking brackets.

Lahore
Lahore

LAST WK: 6

The Yousuf brothers returned to form after a few down games and Affan had his breakout game. 21 points for the rookie on 8-13 from the field and he even outperformed big bro. Aadil did have a solid game himself and Shahzaib did what he did best and that was make tough shots when it mattered the most. Lahore is sneaky and should win a playoff game.

LAST WK: 8

Money Mike was at it again folks and man did those 21 points look smooth. With MJ, Jake and Ameer, this team will not be an easy out and I could see them advancing to the 3rd round. You heard it here first!

Popafeek not only lost the game but his voice. Very exciting game from the opening tip and it had a playoff atmosphere to it. JoJo led the way with 24 points but couldn’t get much more from his teammates. Its moments like this where Shafic needs to assert himself offensively and put the ball in the basket. If Popafeek wants to be the 2023 Cinderella he needs to get Amir Hassan to show up and fast, playoffs are next week!

LAST WK: 9

The GOAT, at age 57 led the league in scoring. Just after the NBA honored Lebron, I think MB has to honor Farhad. 37 points? That ain’t fair. Although it came in a losing effort, he was without his running mate in Tom. Kabul had a very tough schedule this season and some bad luck and will give their first-round opponents fits next week.

LAST WK: 10

Another Delhi game without Luis and another tough loss. I love that this team never quits and is always competing but when one of your best players isn’t in attendance, you are only shooting yourself in the foot.

They won the games they were supposed to and lost against better opponents. I see round 1 being the same ordeal. But Nader Elsammak is going to the ASG so congrats!

Sorry rugrats y’all ain’t winning round 1 but s/o to Gaballa! Boy is going to be a problem in this league for years to come.

LAST WK: 11

Lost via forfeit but it may help their old bodies out. Ed and Kenneth need to be in peak shape and form if this team wants to even sniff the 2nd round of the playoffs.

14
Damascus

LAST WK: 12

After a little bit of smack talk, Tripoli quieted the Damascus faithful, with only 4 players……. Rookie sensation and fan favorite Omar Sehwail struggled, Omar Hussein struggled, and Omar Qasem looked good. S/o to Elias and where was this all seasons?!?!!? Damascus is getting bounced in the first round, sorry not sorry.

Jeddah

LAST WK: 13

Another game of leading at halftime and yet another L. Mo Amin will never be able to live down that fact. But the savvy MB vet had another great season, and his teammates could not have asked for more. Sohaib did a fine job orchestrating this offense and they got solid contributions all season from Haseeb and Jehad. I don’t care what seeding says, this team will nt be an easy out.

Granada
Granada

LAST WK: 15

After winning their first game of the season, they found themselves victims of a seven-game losing streak. Joey had the scoring title in reach but after struggling a bit in week 8, he no longer holds that crown. Their MB vets proved to be solid contributors as were their first timers. No chance vs. Mombasa.
