Anas Zubi. 39 points. Over 50% from the field. Offense. Scary. In all seriousness Mecca is on a roll finishing the season undefeated. Riyadh gave them a little push this week but they still came up on top. Next week they take on Kashgar in their road to the finals, shouldn’t be a difficult game if they just keep this offensive flow going.

Undefeated regular season. Great accomplishment for this team, no one knew who they were before the season started and they’ve certainly left their mark now. They won a tight game against Beirut. This team is capable of going to the finals if their scoring stays hot; they lead the league in points per game. They take on Cairo who they should be able to easily handle next week.

Great way to finish off the season. Mohammad Masri picked up the slack of the team and finished with 21. They take on their week 3 opponent Tehran that pushed them a little last time around. They should be able to handle them but I wouldn’t get too comfortable. As long as they have a full squad though and keep their defense up they should be fine.

Great win and confidence booster heading into the playoffs next week. Billal, Fursan, and Islam dominated this game combining for 58 points. This team has a lot of weapons and when their offense is rolling like this they are tough to stop. Next week they take on Beirut, their week 1 opponent. If the offense is as hot as it’s been lately they should be able to repeat history and win again.

Lost a close one against Mombasa this week. Omar Singer led the way with 20 but the defense couldn’t make the necessary stops in the end. Next week they take on their week 2 opponents Kabul. If Shadi and Omar are flowing on the same page and dominate this game they should be able to handle Kabul this time around.

Sana'a

Easily handled a struggling Tehran squad. Ammar Shahid finished with a great 33&9 game. 3-1 on the season, really impressive. Next week they take on a Riyadh team that they’ve played before in a nail biter. Should be a very tight game, it’s going to come down to who wants it more.

Cordoba

Another team that played with only 4 guys, played a decent game Samien and Walter combined for 40. They’re definitely going to need five players next week though. They’re playing a young, athletic Amman team that can run and will punish you in fast break points. They beat them the first time around let’s see if Cordoba can repeat history.

Amman

Wild finish in their game this week winning in Overtime. Ramzy Saleh and Moayad Abul-huda came up big for this team when it mattered most. This was a great final challenge they needed to mentally prepare them for the playoffs. Next week they take on Cordoba in a rematch of their Week 1 loss, I’m sure they’ll be much better prepared this time around with a full squad present.

9
Kabul

LAST WK: 10

Played with 4 guys and won big. Their guys put up some great numbers too individually. Abdullah Aqrabawi led the way with a huge 28 &13 game. Next week they take on a Granada squad that they beat in week 2. If their offense is as hot as it was today their worries can go away.

Beirut

Not an easy matchup this week coming up just short in the end against a Dhaka squad that just seems to keep finding ways to win. Nick Marquez is heating up at the right time for this team and now the road to repeat as champs begins against their week 1 opponent Jakarta. Was an interesting game last time around, but if Jakarta had given them trouble then they have to be prepared for what Jakarta is getting ready to bring to the table next week.

Delhi

Had a big lead against Amman but lost in Overtime. Anwar and Waqas had good games finishing with 9&9 and 14&11 respectively. But they’re going to have to have great games in the playoffs. When those two get going it is extremely hard to stop this team. They play Suba in the first round next week who they were able to handle easily last time. If they’re offense is as hot as it was last time around they should be able to get the job done.

Put up a fight against Mecca, pretty impressive loss. It was the kind of challenge they needed to ready themselves for the playoffs. They’re 1-3 but they have a solid team, just haven’t found a way to put it all together. They take on their week 2 opponent Sana’a next week that they barely lost to. Should be a very tight game throughout.

Suba

Nice win against a Cordoba squad that was undermanned. Next week they take on Delhi who was able to take care of them easily with a great offensive performance. If the defense is absent again they’re in trouble. Their offense has been getting better; they just need the defense to start making plays.

Tehran

LAST WK: 13

Tough loss to Sana’a this week. Started off with 4 guys and fought a great first half but the second half was just too much to handle for them. Next week they take on Mombasa again who they were able to push a little last time around. They’re going to need an almost perfect game to pull this one off.

15
Kashgar
Kashgar

Their offense was okay this week but the defense just wasn’t there. They finish the season winless and take on Mecca next week. They give up the most points per game and Mecca has an offensive powerhouse named Anas Zubi. Chances not looking good here.

Cairo

Were playing against a Kabul team that had only 4 guys the entire game and were blown out. I don’t know. Next week they play a Dhaka squad that is undefeated, has tons of scorers, first in scoring. You do the math.
