The defending champs from last season and what a great run it was for them. They finished on a 9 game win streak after getting off to a slow 1-2 start least season. This team can get hot fast and look to become one of the few teams to win back to back chips. A relatively quiet offseason for them but with Jon Mingo leading this team the sky’s the limit.

Fell short last season in a disappointing loss to Delhi in the playoffs. This team has had a BUSY offseason, they lost one of their best scorers in Rich Kim but Raza Nassim makes his return to D2 which quickly fills that hole. Along with big man Weiss and Raza leading the pack this team can be very intimidating. A handful of new players join this team which leaves us all wondering. I think this team goes on a revenge tour bullying anyone who gets in their way and makes it back to the finals.

An offensive powerhouse from last season. Could have gone all the way but went cold towards the end of the season and playoffs. The loss of big man Moiz Latif hurts a little but the addition of Ammar Ildelbi should help close that wound. Anas Zubi was the leading scorer in the league a season ago and it seems like he has unfinished business to take care of. Look for him and Malik to continue to lead this offense and get their shot at a title again.

A disappointing end to their last season after just falling short in their first playoff game. This team had a problem with attendance but if their new look squad stays consistent this team can be a huge threat. The addition of Shadi Dahduli and Ibrahim “Himey” Omar brings the big men depth this team seems to have always lacked. Omar Singer is in for a big season if he can find a way to get it all together and mesh with these new additions.

The Abbassi family returns to D2. After falling short in the championship game in D1 a year ago this team looks to make their mark in D2 bringing back most of the pieces of that finals team. A mixture of speed and size can push this team to new heights. This team has a lot of potential and should be able to run with any other team in this league. Can they win a championship? Yes. Will they get it done? I’m not too sure about that.

The Cinderella run for this team fell just short in the championship game against Beirut. They lost Alphonse Baja in the offseason but the addition of Anwar and Waqas Ahmad gives this team more size and scoring abilities that they didn’t have enough of last season. Another trip to the finals doesn’t seem to likely this season with 15 other teams in the mix, but look for this team to have a great season.

This team looks to bounce back from a disappointing season and get back among the elite of the league. The loss of Anwar and Waqas hurt this team but Cory Weem and Chris Turner can bring this team much needed scoring that they couldn’t get going last season. If they can get some chemistry going quickly this team can really become a threat that no one would want to play in the playoffs.

This team seems to have one of the toughest schedules this season. The addition of Ameed Awadeh who guested for this team a few times will definitely give them a much needed boost on offense and defense. This team is two years removed from a championship and are looking to make themselves relevant again after a disappointing last season. A lot of speed and experience on this team but they did lose a few role players. If the new guys can fill in and help improve this team’s offense which was among the worst in the league statistically, I can see them making some noise in the playoffs.

A disappointing outcome for this team last season. They have the chemistry but can they break through this season is another matter. There are a lot of powerhouses this season so they better get it together quickly or they’ll end up in the bottom again before they know it.

Another rough season for this team last season. Pretty quiet offseason but the addition of Ammar Shahid brings experience and grit to this team. Maybe this season can be the one that they finally break through the barrier. Another losing season is not what this team needs at this point. If they don’t get it right this time around they need to reconsider their roster if they ever hope to make their mark in this league.

The youngest team in the league this season. Can potentially become a threat as the season goes along but the overall inexperience of the team in this league has them ranked this low. Omar Qasem has a really high upside and can use his experience to help this team come together. Young talent can be great, but can they put it all together and make the right plays when it matters the most? We’ll have to wait and see.

Majority of this team has been away from the league for some time but a lot of decent scorers on the roster nonetheless. Look for Amre Hamouda to try to bring his championship experience to the team and help lead this team to relevance.

A lot of newbies on this team and another relatively young squad. Not much to base them off of but if history means anything look for Sami Shaban to bring his experience to the table and help lead this group of youngsters throughout the season. Too hard to tell now what this team has to offer so for now we’ll have to wait and see.

Another new team to the league. A mix of players from different teams, some guards and big men. On paper, individually, some of the players on this team have been able to succeed in this league. How they bring it all together and work throughout the season is a mystery that will be discovered come Week 1. They have to play some of the powerhouses in this league but maybe they can bring it together and get a run going into the playoffs.
