Fez v Islamabad:
If Islamabad comes with a full squad, especially the beast that is Muj, then they should take this one due to raw talent alone. I'm not going to say, with ease, because they don't look like they've developed enough chemistry as of yet, but they should still win.
Damascus v Cordoba:
If Hassan continues to be the only real threat on this team then Damascus will win, for sure. If Cordoba's surrounding cast can help out with decent productivity, then it will be a close one. One of the reasons why Hassan's team was good last year was because, aside from his obvious talents, he also had a great supporting cast in Amre and Wassay, who were lights out shooters. This game will come down to Cordoba's supporting cast. If they don't show up then Damascus will be able to weather Hassan's storm and come out with the win.
Baghdad v Kabul:
Baghdad just came off a rough loss to the league favorites Mecca, but I think Ahmad R and co will be able to bounce back with a big win against Kabul who have yet to make an identity for themselves this season.
Mecca v Medina:
This is either going to be an interesting game or a complete blow out by Mecca. It could be an interesting game because of Alex T alone with his slashing drives to the basket. But if Mecca can handle him, which they should be able to, then they will come out with an easy win. Turan and co are no match for Far far and Big O, IMO. Don't worry, I'm not forgetting Alaat. He is a good presence down low, but is far from the dominant big man many thought he would be. League new comer Steven, should be able to hold Alex T in check. Amre will make his 3's but it won't be enough for Medina. Ahmed will get his as usual.
Jerusalem v Bukhara:
Most people would probably label this game as a blow out for the disgustingly stacked and out of this world roster of Bukhara, but I actually think it will be a competitive game. Aquil has proven to be a consistent scorer, and his surrounding cast is not bad at all. They've also been together for a couple seasons now so the chemistry is definitely there and they have that advantage over Bukhara. However, I could be completely wrong, and the soft spoken Chris Diaz could easily go for his usual 205 points. Let's not forget they also have this little guy called Khiry who can go off any time he decides to, Hanif, Mustafa Abbassi, Ammar, Rajab....Ya Allah... you get the point.
Cairo v Istanbul:
Istanbul has shown that they are in fact human in the last game against the overly stacked Bukhara. However, they will unleash all of their channeled up anger on Cairo and destroy them in a blow out game. Expect Ayman to miss and rebound his own shot about 10 times in a row to pad his stats (also due to pure lack of skill), and for Baba Sheikh Waleed Gabr to yell at his 'sons' during the game for not saying Bismillah before each shot and giving thanks after. On a more serious note, Istanbul's youngans who can all dunk in their sleep will be way too much to handle for Cairo.
