THE CAUSEA humanitarian catastrophe is underway in Yemen with 80% of the population in need of immediate assistance. Thousands have fled to Jordan and the African countries of Djibouti, Somaliland, and Somalia. Children bear the brunt of this crisis as many are being killed, prevented from going to school or receiving proper health services. An estimated 12 million children are in immediate need, with as many as 2.3 million children under the age of 5 projected to suffer malnutrition.
An estimated 30,000 Yemeni Refugees live in Somaliland and Somalia where HHRD is registered as an International NGO. HHRD’s Global Qurbani Program distributed meat packages to these refugees this past July 2020. Food packages, including nourishing meals, were distributed to families in need. These packages ensure children, the elderly, widows and those living in poverty do not go hungry. Your support can help save lives.
THE ORGANIZATIONHHRD is a global humanitarian relief and development organization responding to human sufferings in emergency and disaster situations around the world. In addition to our emergency relief efforts in natural or man-made disasters, we also work on long term relief and development programs. HHRD is committed to serve humanity by integrating resources for people in need. We strive to provide immediate response in disasters, and effective Programs in places of suffering, for the pleasure of Allah.
HHRD continues to provide aid to Yemeni refugees in Somalia and Somaliland through our Food Packages distribution and health care projects, which include cataract eye operations. Winter Provisions, Seasonal Projects and gifts through our In-Kind Program are being supplied to refugees in Jordan. Seasonal Projects are offered in Djibouti as well. HHRD teams conduct needs assessments to determine the possibility of initiating developmental programs which can also benefit Yemeni refugees in these countries. Your support can make a lasting difference.
