Muslim Basketball's back for another exciting season! Last year we saw amazing talent week by week as the top players in the division played their hearts out trying to lead their teams to glory. These players went the extra mile for their team and without them on the court their teams would fall in shambles. The effect they have on the court can be seen through both what does and does not show up on the stat sheets; it's the little things they do that help fuel the fire of their teams. Through their leadership and great play, week in and week out, they hope to do everything in their power to elevate their teams to the next level. These aren't any ordinary players, these are MVP caliber type of players. Welcome to this week's edition of the KP MVP Ladder.

1. Mohamed Amin, Sana’a
In a game where Sana’a needed production from their star player most, Mohamed Amin was able to find his rhythm and help lead his team to the win against a pesky Jakarta defense. He finished the game with 21 points, 8 boards, 5 assists, and 4 steals. It wasn’t a pretty performance at first but Sana’ was able to get the job done and get into a flow led by Mo Amin’s impressive stat line.
Last Week’s Ranking: 1

2. Omar Abbassi, Islamabad
Islamabad’s proven week in and week out thus far that their wins aren’t just a fluke and they mean business. This team plays with heart and has a chemistry that is one of the most impressive in the league this season. This fluent offense seems to run through Omar Abbassi, his efficient play and hish basketball IQ has led to shots for his teammates and stops on defense. He finished this week with 9 points, 12 boards, and 5 assists. He’s shooting over 50% for the season thus far and is spreading the floor for the shooters on the team, part of the reason why Islamabad currently leads the league in assists.
Last Week’s Ranking: 4

3. Raza Nassim, Mombasa
If you didn’t believe he was back last week, believe it now. Raza led Mombasa to a big win over Tehran this week finishing with 26 points on 11/15 shooting, 6 boards, 3 assists, and only one turnover. The way he was running the floor like a fireball made it difficult for Tehran to stop him which led to a few and one opportunities. Last season’s MVP is back and he’s racing his way up the ladder.
Last Week’s Ranking: 5

4. Abdul Mutaleb Popal, Palermo
Not the best game for the stud who was coming off one of the best games of his career last week. He finished with 25 points, 6 boards, and 5 assists, but also tacked on 6 turnovers. His team had the chance to get their first win of the season but failed to defend down the stretch and ultimately lost in overtime. 0-3 to start the season with only more difficult matches coming Palermo’s way. He’s pulling all the rabbits out of the hat but his margin for error is extremely thin with his team staring down a potential 0-4 start to the season.
Last Week’s Ranking: 3

5. Edriss Froogh, Fez
I want what he’s having please. Someone must’ve discovered time travel because Ed’s having one of the best seasons of his career thus far *knock on wood*. He’s knocking down difficult shots left and right, hitting defenders with all these spin moves, and leading Fez’s charge to victory. He’s playing much more efficiently this season so far and is evident in his 2nd in scoring across the division. He finished this week shooting over 50% from the field with 29 points, 5 boards, 7 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks. He’s taking charge of Fez’s offense and they’re looking like a team that can shoot lights out now leading the league in points per game through three games. The hype is real?
Last Week’s Ranking: N/A

Next Five Up?
Mujtaba John S, Jakarta; Omar Qasem, Granada; Bernie Pimental, Alexandria; Hosam Karkis, Damascus; Raied Saleh, Sana’a

Next Up?
Ameer Koyas, Dhaka: Ameer’s having himself a season averaging a career high 19.7 points on close to 50% shooting through three games. I don’t know what’s up with Dhaka’s attendance issues these first few games but with few co-stars missing Ameer has answered the call and is balling out this season. He’ll need to continue playing at this high level if Dhaka has any hope of three-peating with plenty of hungry teams dying to take the crown away from the back to back champs.
