Dhaka vs Kazan
Kazan was without Anthony again. They started the game with only 4 players, and Dhaka jumped out to a 10 point lead, without Ahmed in the lineup for the first half. Kazan's 5th man showed up and they cut the lead to 4 or 5, but Dhaka hit a couple layups and 3's in a row to stretch the lead back and took an 11 point halftime lead. With Afay in the game for the second half the lead stretched, with the team hitting 13 3's for the game. Faizan had another stellar game, with 24 & 18 & 2 blocks.

Islamabad vs Jerusalem
Jerusalem gets a much needed win, , though they had a use a few guest passes to get it. But the team was finally playing with their dual threat. Islamabad turned around a cold shooting first half by outscoring Jerusalem by 11 in the second half, but Victor and Andre were the difference in the end in a close game.

Tripoli vs Timbuktu
Even without Maher in the lineup, Tripoli is rounding into shape with the playoffs around the corner. FA had another big game, with 26 & 11, and good free throw shooting all around helped stave off Timbuktu despite sold games from Jibran, Moiz, and Asher. Timbuktu may have settled for too many 3 point attempts in the end with Tripoli using its size to make the difference inside the key.

Istanbul vs Jakarta
Despite being in first place, Istanbul really loves to play close games. Not counting their one blowout win, they have not had a game with a point difference of more than 7. Chalk it up to whatever you want, even though they let teams hang around they definitely still know how to close out games. Solid free throw shooting as always from them. They won by 3 over the solid Jakarta team. Jakarta has only two games left before the playoffs to play with Ali, who had a another good game.

Baghdad vs Sana'a
Baghdad follows up its win over Lagos to keep pace with Istanbul and stay tied for first place.

Istanbul vs. Jakarta

This was a close game the whole way through. Jakarta had the early lead, 8 nothing I believe, but Istanbul's squad hit a few clutch 3's to close off the first half with the lead. From that point on it was an uphill battle for Jakarta, but sadly we just couldn't hit that last three to tie the game. Ali Alsaidi came out big at the end and hit a few jumpers with hands in his face. This game, more than anything, was defined by its defensive intensity. Ali Omar and Joe got their blocks, and the guards made it difficult for each other to get good shots up. All in all great game and a well deserved win for team Istanbul.

I agree, game was all based on defense. Joe and ALi Omar were battling in the paint all game long. Jakarata;s defense was excellent, and non stop. Mo Masri is finding his shooting touch and him and Joe is the reason we came up on top
