Ed, have some guts with these rankings. It's been 2 weeks and you still have a bunch tied for 3rd. That's as lame as it gets man. And Jerusalem at 5 makes zero sense when the teams at 3rd would push it to 6th. Weak bro.
Big props to those guys who showed up for Jeddah. They hit a few tough shots and were perfect at the line. Played as well as you can with 4 guys. They deserve to stay atop these rankings, one of the few things you got right Ed. |

The current power rankings are terrible so here is my power rankings. I watched every team play and here's my opinion.
Division 1
#1 Islamabad ; Still undefeated, best defensive team in the division.
#2 Jeddah ; Back to back champs. Full team showed up and got a victory. Jon DeJesus is the real deal. I love his game.
#3 Tripoli ; Bye last week
#4 Jerusalem ; Lead by Tyrek (Me). With the addition of Derron and Marcus we see better ball movement as we had 27 ast on 29 made FGs.
#5 Timbuktu ; This team is built to win. 3 tough games to open the season. They should finish the season strong.
#6 Bukhara ; I just love Farhad game, however I notice this team has a lack of guard play.
#7 Lagos ; Team filled with a bunch of new faces. They have a really good big man, other than that they lack any other scoring.

Islamabad has been fortunate. Played Jerusalem without Marcus and Derron, played Jeddah with only 4 guys, and played Bukhara without Mus. We're gonna play whoever is out there on the court, but haven't faced a full squad yet. We know going into the playoffs, if we face any of those teams to expect a different game. |

I would put Tripoli at 4, Jerusalem at 3 because those assist numbers are ridiculous ... I would put Bukhara up 1 n Timbuktu down 1 ... Judging on only this season ... Islamabad should be 1 cause they r undefeated n a complete team on paper ... Young bucks will only get better n there shooting percentages so far this season convey that they have stepped up their game n went to a Steph curry basketball camp ... Lagos should be double teaming premier players like Muj n Farhad ... They have plenty of talent but in game strategy needs some revision ... Reef should play 40 mins as he is a true PG n 1 of the most underrated players in the league

I'm not surprised that Lagos is 0-4 because every team and every game is tough, but I am surprised that their margin of defeat has been so wide. Adito and Moiz are a really good 2-big man tandem, very hard to deal with. Both have excellent low post games, and both have range as well. They also do a good job of recognizing a mismatch and playing to it. I know they are at the bottom of these rankings, but they are definitely capable of beating any team in this league.
They could've easily won last night, and if it wasn't for a discerning noise call on late FTs, that game would've likely gone to OT. Definitely a tough way to lose. |
